Why we founded Avanta.
Multifamily investing has become transactional. Operators chase the next acquisition on aggressive assumptions, raise capital from strangers, and measure success by deal count instead of outcomes.
Stephanie Rude and Andy Beights built Avanta to be the opposite kind of firm. Stephanie spent her career inside housing itself — business development and strategic partnerships across residential construction and building products, working with the builders, developers, and design professionals who actually create homes. Andy built a company from nothing in the payments industry — an operator and connector who understands that trust is the only durable asset in business. Together they had renovated and repositioned single-family homes for years. Multifamily is the disciplined next step: the same principles, at institutional scale.
They made one decision at the outset that shapes everything Avanta does — to build to institutional standards from day one, rather than grow quickly at the expense of quality.
